Jeffrey Galvan
Jeff Galvan advises clients, including entrepreneurs, dental service organizations (“DSO”), closely-held and family businesses, and middle market companies in commercial real estate and corporate healthcare matters. Jeff has extensive practice in the areas of formations, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures in a variety of healthcare sectors including but not limited to DSO and dental groups, veterinary, dermatology, nephrology and surgery centers.

Jeff also has extensive practice in the areas of multi-family commercial real estate mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and joint ventures.
Jeff has been lead counsel or involved in hundreds of dental and DSO acquisitions and dispositions including national and regional dental transactions. For over 15 years, Jeff has been involved in the dental industry and has advised his clients on a vast array of legal issues including non-competes, fee splitting, DSO structures, advertising, HIPAA regulations, credentialing, licensure issues, associate agreements and other rules, laws and regulations affecting dentists, dental practices and DSO’s.

Walter Messick
Walter focuses his law practice on businesses: formation, operation and governance, transactions and purchase/sale of businesses.
Walter has over 30 years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts. He served as a Contracting Officer for the Department of the Navy and as in-house corporate counsel for a large international consulting company. Walter now serves as corporate counsel for a variety of small businesses.

Walter earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 1979, his Graduate Certificate in Federal Procurement from The American University in 1982 and earned his J.D. from The Catholic University of America in 1986.
Walter became a member of the Virginia Bar in 1986 and a member of the Florida Bar in 1995.

Jonathan Levine
Jonathan Levine focuses his practice on healthcare and real estate transactions. He specializes in the representation of healthcare providers, and provides legal services which include business formation, drafting and negotiating business contracts, management agreements, employment/contractor agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements.
Jonathan also has experience representing owners and tenants in the purchase, sale, financing and leasing of residential or commercial property, title review and closing services.

Kim Hines
Kim Hines focuses her law practice on general corporate law including the structure, negotiation and documentation of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations.
She also assists clients with matters involving entity selection, corporate governance, and regulatory issues as well as the negotiation and preparation of the array of agreements involved in corporate law, including redemption, joint venture, distribution, management, employment, consulting, confidentiality, and non-competition agreements.

Joshua Butera
Joshua Butera is an Associate Attorney with Galvan Messick. Joshua focuses his practice on the areas of mergers and acquisitions law, healthcare law, and general corporate law.

Joshua has provided legal counsel to businesses of all sizes operating in a variety of sectors, and he has significant experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating documents for commercial transactions.
Before joining the firm, Joshua was senior counsel at a prominent law firm in Rhode Island, where he advised clients on all aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, financing and issues of corporate governance.
After graduating from law school, Joshua started his legal career in the litigation department of an Am Law 100 firm, where he advised clients on consumer finance laws.
Joshua received a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. During law school, Josh served as managing editor of the Boston University Law Review and won the G. Joseph Tauro Scholarship award. Before law school, Joshua received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University.
Joshua is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, the State of Rhode Island, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
